The centerpiece for our 2024 season will be the presentation of a new work by Monica Houghton, commissioned by the Toiyabe Chamber Music Society to celebrate our new name. This composition will feature Dustin Budish, viola, Aaron Hill, Oboe, and Emily Barnes. harp. Dan Flanagan (violinist) will be performing at the Brewery Arts Center. For The Bow and the Brush, Dan commissions and composes new works of music inspired by paintings and sculptures. Images of the artworks that inspired the compositions are projected during the performance.

Founded in 2018, Reno Modern Brass is a locally focused brass chamber ensemble devoted to the performance and creation of music of living composers. Its mission is to commission new works, perform recently written masterpieces, and discover neglected great works from the recent past. In this performance, the ensemble presents the world premiere of a new work by Zach Teran.
