Reno Modern Brass performed at Craft Wine and Beer in midtown Reno. The program featured two world premieres by local composers Timothy Gay and Larry Engstrom, who were able to give a bit of background about their works before they were performed.
Pieces by Willem DeKoch, Peter Van Zandt Lane, Chloe Rowlands, Andrew Rowan, and Brandon Sherman filled the rest of the program.
The drinks were as well curated as the musical offerings, and we enjoyed watching the action at the childrens’ table during the performance.
